Registered Nurse - Per Diem Opportunities
Currently Available in Medical/Surgical & Geriatric Psychiatry.  Please call us for more details!

Registered Nurse-Emergency Department
The Critical Care Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units (i.e. Emergency Room).  This position will maintain all critical care competencies on an annual basis.  The registered nurse maintains accountability for his/her own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.  Qualifications include:  Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing, current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin in good standing, current CPR certification and ability to obtain ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.  Non-violent crisis intervention training is required every two years on a rolling calendar.  Minimum experience: One year relevant nursing experience or supervisory recommendation.

  • Full-time, PM's, 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., 32 hours/week, 64 hours bi-weekly, every 4th weekend; 11 p.m. - 7 a.m. and holiday rotation. 

Registered Nurse-Medical/Surgical
The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The registered nurse maintains accountability for his/her own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise. Qualifications include: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing, current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin in good standing, and current CPR certification. Tele certified and ACLS certified a plus. Prefer someone with previous Medical/Surgical experience as well as ICU experience.

  • Part-time, Every Sunday, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., variable days of the week, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., 48 hours bi-weekly, every 3rd holiday.

Registered Nurse-Home Health
Responsible for providing direct patient care and professional nursing services in patient's home.
Responsible for providing and managing quality patient care.  Demonstrates knowledge and competence specific to age of patient/customer served. Qualifications include: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing, current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin in good standing, and current CPR certification. Must have at least one year of RN experience.  Prefer someone with prior Home Health Nursing experience.

LPN's / C.N.A.'s

C.N.A.-Home Health Aide
This position is responsible for routine patient care duties in patient's home under the supervision of RN.  Demonstrates knowledge and competence specific to age of patient/customer served.  Qualifications include: Current C.N.A certification, including Home Health; and current CPR certification.  Prefer someone who has prior Home Health Aide experience.  Must also have a valid WI and/or IL Driver's License, reliable transportation and proof of insurance; or ability to travel to patient homes to deliver care.

  • Occasional hours as needed, typically day hours with some PM shifts, every 3rd weekend.    

PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL/OTHER

Business Development/Public Relations Director
Stoughton Hospital located 15 miles southeast of Madison Wisconsin has an excellent employment opportunity for a Business Development/Public Relations Director.  This position is responsible for the management of hospital wide business development, public relations, marketing, organizational strategic planning and related functions.  This position requires three years relevant experience in organizational planning with demonstrated ability in health care business development; public relations and marketing.  Requires Bachelor's Degree in nursing, business, or communications (preferably a Master's degree in a health related field) and knowledge of greater Madison Wisconsin area healthcare environment.  Prior supervisory/management experience desired. Stoughton Hospital offers a competitive salary commensurate with education/experience and an excellent benefits package. 

  • Full-time Salaried, 8am - 4:30pm, 64-80 hours bi-weekly, occasional evenings/weekends.

Billing Specialist
The Billing Specialist serves as an intermediary with many insurance agencies and customers, and is responsible for creating a positive service impression to patients of Stoughton Hospital.  At least 2 years experience in medical billing and insurance claims processing preferred.  Previous collections experience is a must.  This individual must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented and possess a positive attitude.  Minimum qualifications include:  High school graduate or equivalent and experience in a medical business office setting.  Prefer someone with an Associate degree in related field or 2 years of healthcare accounts receivable management experience.  Also prefer someone with Home Health billing knowledge and similar or related experience in a health care setting.

  • Full-time, Days, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., 40 hours/week, 80 hours bi-weekly. 

Occupational Therapist-Outpatient Clinic-SWAC
Responsible for the full range of occupational therapy treatments and tasks which includes organizing and conducting medically prescribed Occupational Therapy services to restore function, maximizing an individual's independence and prevent or minimize the effects of a disability, injury, or illness.   Qualifications include: Completion of an approved Occupational Therapy program; Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of WI.  Minimum Experience: One year of Occupational Therapist experience and must have current CPR or the ability to obtain upon hire. Prefer candidate with hand rehab experience.

  • Part-time, 16 hours/week, 8am - 4:30pm, days negotiable, weekend monthly rotation and holiday rotation.

Occupational Therapist-Home Health
Responsible for the full range of occupational therapy treatments and tasks which includes organizing and conducting medically prescribed Occupational Therapy services to restore function, maximizing an individual's independence and prevent or minimize the effects of a disability, injury, or illness. Qualifications include: Completion of an approved Occupational Therapy program; Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of WI. Minimum Experience: Two years of Occupational Therapist experience and must have current CPR or the ability to obtain upon hire. Prefer someone with prior Occupational Therapist experience.

Human Resources Assistant
Stoughton Hospital has a temporary Human Resources Assistant employment opportunity working Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to provide support during a leave of absence. This position begins approximately March 26, 2012 through three to four months.  This position provides administrative, secretarial and receptionist support to the Human Resources department.  In addition, this position assists with some complex and highly confidential Human Resources related projects and acts as a backup for the department in the absence of other Human Resources personnel on daily issues.  Qualifications include:  High school graduate or equivalent and proven computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.  Prefer someone with knowledge of Joint Commission regulations, and prior Human Resources experience and/or training experience in a healthcare setting.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES/MAINTENANCE

Housekeeper
Responsible for performing light, routine-cleaning duties to maintain assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition.  Also maintains necessary stocks of cleaning supplies and disposing of designated accumulated waste products.  This Housekeeper position is a relief position trained for many areas.  Requires basic reading and comprehension skills.  Prefer prior institutional cleaning experience in a healthcare setting and high school graduate or equivalent.

  • Part-time, PMs, 16-24 hours/week, 4 and 8 hour shift, every other weekend.
  • Occasional Hours, 4 and 8 hour shift, weekday and hours vary.
