Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical

The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units.  The registered nurse maintains accountability for his/her own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.  Qualifications include: Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing, current RN licensure in the State of Wisconsin in good standing, and current CPR certification.  Tele certified and ACLS certified a plus.  Looking for someone with previous Medical/Surgical experience.

Certified Nursing Assistant-Geriatric Psychiatry

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or other qualified staff.  This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.  Qualifications include:  Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program, High school graduate or equivalent, must have current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire, must be eligible for non-violent crisis intervention training – every two years on a rolling calendar.  Minimum experience:  Previous work in a healthcare setting (preferably in geriatric or psychiatric area).

Certified Nursing Assistant-Medical/Surgical

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. This position also performs general clerical duties in the smooth operation of the Med/Surg unit.  Qualifications include: Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program, High school graduate or equivalent, must have current CPR certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.  Previous acute care experience or work in a healthcare setting is preferred.

PROFESSIONAL/TECHNICAL/OTHER

Speech Therapist-Home Health
The Speech Therapist is responsible for providing service to patients with speech and language problems.  The home therapy program is provided by a qualified speech therapist, and reports to the Home Health Manager/Administrator.  Qualifications include Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, Licensure in the State of WI as a Speech Language Pathologist/Therapist, Certificate of clinical competence in speech of the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Home Caregiver

Responsible for performing routine house maintenance duties in client’s home under the supervision of the Home Caregiver Coordinator.  Demonstrates knowledge and competence specific to age of patient/customer served.  Qualifications include:  Basic reading and comprehension skills.  Prefer:  High school graduate or equivalent and someone with previous in home care experience.

Respiratory Therapist

This position is responsible for administering respiratory therapy care, life support and diagnostic testing for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system. Sets up and operates devices, such as mechanical ventilators, BiPap units etc. as appropriate to licensure/training.  Qualifications include: current Wis Respiratory Therapy licensure, current CPR certification, registered or certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care, graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, and basic computer competency skills. Prefer one year respiratory care experience and ACLS certification.

Medical Technician or Medical Lab Technician

This position is responsible for specimen collection, analysis, and reporting of clinical laboratory results in accordance with established standards.  MT will have oversight responsibilities/accountability for section technical oversight under direction of the lab manager.  MT aids in the implementation of the QA program.  MT qualifications include: Current MT (ASCP ) registration or equivalent, Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology (or other science) with one year of clinical training at an approved school of Medical Technology, and basic computer competency skills. Prefer prior related experience. MLT qualifications include: current MLT ASCP registration Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician and basic computer competency skills.

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Communications or equivalent combination of related experience in Fundraising.  Health care experience and CFRE certification are preferred.

Physical Therapist Assistant – SWAC Outpatient Clinic

This position is responsible for the full range of physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated by the supervising Physical Therapist.  Qualifications include graduate of an accredited two year college program approved by the APTA with proof of successful completion of the program, current Physical Therapist Assistant licensure, current CPR certification, basic computer competency skills and beginner Microsoft Office Suite skills.

  • Part-time, 40 hours bi-weekly, every 6th weekend and 1 holiday/year.

  

Radiology Technologist

This position provides technical skills involving radiology and fluoroscopy; takes and may develop radiographs of various parts of the body to assist physician in the detection of foreign bodies and diagnosis of disease or injury. A.R.R.T. Registration required.  Operates the computerized transaxial tomography machine. Applies prescribed radiation for the purpose of obtaining diagnostic information. Rad Tech with additional training.  Qualifications include  currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Licensed Radiographer in good standing and Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists, current CPR certification, Associate's Degree Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology, basic computer competency skills and beginning Microsoft Office Suite skills.

  • Part-time, 16 hours bi-weekly, every other weekend Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 2pm-10pm.

 

Coding Specialist

This position responsible for reviewing clinical documentation and accurately assigning diagnosis and procedure codes using the ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding classification systems to all types of patient health encounters to facilitate optimal reimbursement for Stoughton Hospital.  He or she is also responsible for assigning DRG's on inpatient accounts.  This position is also responsible for identifying chargeable items and entering charges into the hospital billing system.  Potential to work from home.  Qualifications include Graduate of health information adminstration, health information technician program or coding specialist program with satisfactory completion of coursework in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, coding (ICD-9-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, DRGs, APCs). Prefer RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC certification, Prefer 1-2 years hospital inpatient or outpatient coding experience, high school graduate or equivalent, basic computer competency skills and beginning Microsoft Office Suite skills.

FOOD SERVICES

 

Food Prep Assistant

The Food Prep Assistant is responsible for weekly cleaning and maintenance of a variety of food service equipment. Specific duties include but are not limited to cleaning, changing oil in deep fat fryers, heavy duty cleaning of char broiler, defrosting chest freezer, and deliming dish machine.  Qualifications include basic reading and comprehension skills, basic computer competency skills and beginning Microsoft Office Suite skills. Prefer high school graduate or equivalent and prior experience in food & nutrition services.

  • Part-time, 10 hours biweekly, evenings and weekends, flexible hours.  

 

Food Prep Assistant

The Food Prep Assistant is responsible for preparing hot and cold menu items for patient meals and café customers, assembling patient meal trays and snacks, delivering meal trays to patients, café cash register operation, scheduled kitchen cleaning duties and dishroom work.  Qualifications include basic reading and comprehension skills, basic computer competency skills and beginning Microsoft Office Suite skills. Prefer high school graduate or equivalent and prior experience in food & nutrition services.

  • Part-time, 12 hours biweekly, typically work six hour shifts starting as early as 6am throughout the continuum of the day until 7:30pm, every other weekend and holiday 6am – 12:30pm.

ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES/MAINTENANCE

 

Housekeeper

Stoughton Hospital is currently recruiting for a Housekeeper for weekends providing housekeeping duties in inpatient/outpatient areas and open to flex additional hours as a relief to the Monday – Friday PM assignment. Duties may include cleaning patient rooms, inpatient discharges, some floor care, managing waste, soiled linens, rest room cleaning, stairs, dusting, and other general cleaning needs. Requires basic reading and comprehension skills. Prefer previous housekeeping experience and high school graduate or equivalent.

  • Part-time Weekends, 16 hours biweekly, 5-9pm.
